We have all price points and styles for those on a budget.
Materials used for your prescription lenses are of the thinnest and lightest available, combined with vibrant tints, anti-reflective coatings, and polarized sun lenses. If you are one of the many who now needs reading glasses, you will enjoy the progressive lenses (bifocals with no lines). These are available now in even the smallest frames. In addition,
computer
vision needs can now be addressed with the office lens. We recommend this to all patients who use the computer for more than 10 hours a week.
Many individuals today also have sports concerns. Studies have shown that eye protection and contrast sensitivity enhancement can drastically improve sports performance. The Bolle
Adaptor is ideal for your prescription sports needs, where the prescription is placed in an insert behind the high quality wrap-around sunglasses. Bolle has sunglasses designed specifically for sports such as golf and tennis.
The
“high index” spectralite ophthalmic lens can reduce weight
and thickness by as much as 30% with a special plastic allowing
for a higher index of refraction. In addition, the progressive
lens (PAL) has become the standard for correcting near vision,
reducing many of the lined bifocal designs. The PAL is a continuous
multi-focal lens without the disruptive 
line. The figure to
the right shows the optically clear corridor in royal blue
with the marginal aberrations in green and yellow.
